SAP Leonardo: lots of potential but still a work in progress

For us, SAP Leonardo is SAP’s approach to a platform that allows for the development and deployment of data-driven applications leveraging technology components such as analytics, IoT, blockchain and machine learning. The promise is for companies to be able to create solutions ranging from edge devices to back end without the need to leave the SAP universe.

GDPR has been a big wake up call to many businesses. The non-negotiable and permanent nature of the EU regulation means that businesses have been compelled to put far better data management in place to avoid prosecution and fines of up to 4% of annual revenue.

PAC attended Amazon’s 2017 London Summit last month, an exhilarating event that at times was truly a meeting of the faithful.That description is justified by the real and evident enthusiasm of the attendees, which was several notches up the energy scale from other large events held by other large vendors (usually in the very same hall).
