Employee experience optimization requires a broad approach

2018 Will Be the Year of Employee Experience – at least according to a Forbes article published at the beginning of the year. Why is this? Because digital transformation will only be successful if it is backed by “smart” and highly motivated employees – who in turn rely on a modern work environment.

Focusing on new ways of working in Europe

Smart services require smart employees – PAC’s analyses in the digital transformation space have shown: Employee experience and customer experience are two sides of the same coin used for payment in the digital age. Excellent customer service as well as the successful rollout of smart IoT-based business models requires “smart” and highly motivated employees.

Smart employees require a smart environment – Flexible workspaces are imperative for employees’ ability and motivation to fully exploit their potential. But employee experience depends on multiple factors, including technology infrastructure and premises design, as well as on organization and leadership.

Digital workspace initiatives are becoming part of enterprise-wide transformation projects – Projects on the subject of the digital workspace are defined with a broader scope, under designations such as “new”, “smart” or “future work” with different stakeholders involved (IT, HR, Facility Management) and based on different digital platforms by enterprises and cloud providers. Thus, digital workspace suppliers should be prepared to address new target groups and to extend their scope.

This study will provide a detailed view on how European companies are approaching new ways of working – based on a broad perspective of the digital workplace being a part of company-wide transformation initiatives. We will analyze the status quo, key action fields, investment plans and platform strategies from the perspective of decision makers in HR, IT and Facility Management departments.
