Paris, May 16, 2017: CXP Group, the leading independent European research and consulting firm for the software, IT services and digital transformation industry, announces the appointment of Yannick Carriou to the position of CEO.

CXP Group has undergone radical transformation over the past few years. Initially a 100% French player, the company has expanded to the European stage, with nearly two-thirds of its business being conducted outside its home market. A joint strategy of selective external growth (firstly BARC GmbH, then PAC SAS) and internal development has enabled the company to quadruple its turnover. In addition to active growth, the group has cemented its industry influence as evidenced by recent independent rankings (Analyst Firm Awards 2017: #5 most valuable, globally*).

This successful phase of its development, under the leadership of Laurent Calot, ‘re-founder’ of the new CXP in 2004, resulted in the company welcoming aboard a major financial shareholder in 2016, Platina Equity Solutions, which brought with it a new ambition for growth. To achieve this, it was deemed beneficial to strengthen the management team in place with the appointment of a new Group CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of international caliber, someone with solid experience in effecting change and in selling intellectual services (consulting and analysis) in a rapidly changing environment. Given these prerequisites, the Board of Directors of CXP Group decided to hand this responsibility to Yannick Carriou.

Having trained as an engineer, Yannick Carriou started his career in specialist roles at INSEE and then at TNS. He gained experience in the management of smaller entities before going on to manage progressively more significant and international organizations. As CEO of TNS SOFRES, then of IPSOS, he managed to spearhead the renewal of their products and services portfolios – in spheres that had been turned upside down by innovation.

Laurent Calot, Chairman of the Board, will be able to devote himself fully to medium-term strategy and, in particular, continue the external growth strategy successfully embarked upon during the previous phase of the group’s existence.

“I am delighted to join CXP Group at this moment in its history, following the development phase led by Laurent Calot and the managing partners of the group. I remain convinced that the expertise of the CXP teams brings significant added value to our clients and I intend to reinforce these teams even further in order to be able to improve our response to our clients’ issues during a time of technological change, or even disruption,” Yannick Carriou comments.
